Jennifer- I have spent all morning in this guestbook and feel like I have found the Pot of Gold at the end of the rainbow. In August 2010 my sisters, Mother, and I attended the final reunion of the 11th Armored division there in Louisville, KY. I signed up for and did receive a list of the names of men in my father's unit which was 42Tank C company. After reading your posting I checked my list and I could not believe my eyes when I saw that your great uncle was on the list. I was beginning to think that I was looking for a needle in the haystack that I was NEVER going to find. I DO HAVE two large photos of his units. One is 30 inches long and one is 20inches. I am not sure at what location they were taken. He was at Fort Polk LA and some other places. Maybe together we can figure it out. I just called our local Fed Ex store and will in a few days go there and see if they can scan it into something digital for me to email you or at least make additional copies for me to mail to you. I would love for you to look at them and see if you recognize your uncle. My father, who passed away in 2002, spoke very little about the war and we only have a few copies of the Thunderbolt magazines.
