My grandfather, Vincent K. Cutshall, passed away on March 14, 2007. I would love to hear from anyone who knew him. He served with the 11th Armored Division, 491st AFA, Battery C. On December 30th, 1944, he was injured by a shell fragment and later received the purple heart. He recovered in England before rejoining the 491st. One of the things I found after his death were his letters home during the war. My grandpa rarely spoke of the War and the letters have given me a fascinating insight into this part of his life.
