My dad,Arthur Loyd Shipley was a tank driver in HQ company of the 753rd tank battalion during WWII. Dad was from Oklahoma, and the guys called him "pop" as he was 28 years old when they shipped out to North Africa and most of the guys were 19 or 20. Dad died in a tractor accident back in 1980. I am trying to either locate someone who might have known him in service or maybe someone from the 753rd who authored a book about their service. Any information would be appreciated.
