My grandfather,PFC Charles F. Fletcher, who passed away before I was one, served with C 63rd AIB. It is my understanding that on Apr. 9th 1945 he was near Wiedersbach, Germany looking for his brother, Malcolm (unk which unit). He was in front of our lines and was shot and captured by German forces (possibly SS). He was eventually rescued and was sent home. Anyone who knew him or has additional information please write me.
