John L Runckel, DMD formerly TSGT 11th Atmored Division, Bonze Star with V, multiple purple hearts,Combat Medic Badge died at the end of February 2011. At his bedside during the last hours of his life he was remembering the unit, the war,and caring for the victims of the concentration camp.He still loved the men of the 11th Armored and hated the war.
