The friend of your father was most likely Freddie Jones, who served in HQ63AIB. According to our records, he passed away on Maerch 15, 1956.

Looking into information but may possibly be my grandfather, Rolla Jones. He was from Iowa. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2005. His service compensation papers list HQ Battery 11th Armored Division.
