I live in Ekeren and we have a town twinning with the german town of Andernach near Koblenz. Andernach was captured in March 1945 by troops of the 11th. I'm looking for information; pictures or memories of the capture of that town and region around it.

My uncle T5 Fred Schroeder served in the 11th Armored. I have a book titled "The Armored Engineers in Combat". The booklet is based on personal extracts from diaries from men in the platoon.There are a few lines dated 3/10/45 addressing Andernach. Also one photo of the country side dated the same
