The Memphis Redbirds are teaming up with FedEx and AutoZone to honor the "Greatest Generation" in a Memorial Day weekend dedication on May 29 at AutoZone Park. Memphis has been chosen as one of only five nationally sanctioned sites to simulcast the Washington D.C. dedication. The simulcast from AutoZone Park will begin at 1:00pm, but be sure to be on hand for the all the pre-ceremony festivities beginning at 11:30. The festivities will include:
Ballpark-style buffet for all guests
Live music from the WWII era in the entry plaza
Color Guard
Giant Flag
Various WWII displays
Video Board displays (including movie clips)
Exclusive seating and buffet for WWII Veterans and their families on the Club Level
Tickets are $10 per person (excluding WWII veterans who will receive free tickets) and can be purchased by calling the Redbirds box office at 721-6000. Also, please note that all tickets purchased for the WWII ceremony are also good for admission to general seating at the Redbirds 4:05 start versus Albuquerque.
