I WAS LIBERATED AT MAUTHAUSEN CONCENTRATION CAMP, and wish to thank the 11th Armored Division personnel who came to save us. I was a 19-year-old Polish political prisoner, who spent two years in the camps, first at Auschwitz and then at Mauthausen. I will NEVER forget the sight of the tanks rolling up the hill toward the main camp.
