Boston Tour Descriptions

1. Lexington & Concord Tour
Tues. 8/12/08          (1:00 pm - 4:30pm)         $ 40 PER PERSON

Join us for a drive to the sites where the American Revolution began. Our coach will bring us to Lexington, a quiet farming community in 1775, Our guide will relate the events leading up to the march of the Red Coats from Boston out into the countryside and the story of Paul Revere’s ride. At Lexington, we will have time to walk on the Green where the first patriots were killed at dawn on April 18, 1775. Then we will continue to Concord where our militia marched on the Red Coats guarding the North Bridge and fired “the shot heard round the world.” The war had begun. There will be some walking, perhaps 100 yards at the North Bridge.


2. Boston Waterfront Dinner Cruise      
Wed. 8/13/08           (6:15 pm - 11:00 pm)        $75 PER PERSON

A three hour buffet dinner cruise along the Boston waterfront.


3. Visit & Lunch at Patton Home
Thurs. 8/14/08          (9:00 am - 4:00 pm)         $30 PER PERSON

Enjoy hospitality and a buffet luncheon at the home of Mrs. Joanne Holbrook Patton. Mrs. Patton’s father, General Willard “Hunk” Holbrook, commanded the 11th Armored Division's Combat Command A.  Her father-in-law, General George S. Patton, commanded the United States Third Army. Our gratitude goes out to Mrs. Patton for graciously extending this invitation to us.


4. Boston CIty Tour
Fri. 8/15/08                  (10:30 am - 4:30pm)         $65 PER PERSON

Come with us on a coach tour of scenic Boston. Our guide will point out the highlights of this lovely old city, from the North End where Paul Revere and Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy were born to the USS Constitution, the oldest active warship in the world. From Fenway Park, home of the 2004 and 2007 World Series Champion Red Sox, to the Old South Meeting House where the Boston Tea Party began. Lunch on this tour will be at the Union Oyster House, the oldest continuously run restaurant in the country. Time permitting, we will also get a look at Harvard University, the oldest college in America. and the Esplanade where the Boston Pops play on the Fourth of July. You’ve seen it on television. Now you can see the real thing.

To register for tours, complete this form and mail with your check or money order payable to: 11th ADA, 2328 Admiral St., Aliquippa, PA 15001. Credit cards will not be accepted. Registration forms must be received no later than July 15, 2008. Your canceled check is your receipt and confirmation. Cancellations must be received by August 1, 2008 in order to receive a refund.

We reserve the right to cancel any tour if minimums are not met. Canceled tours will be refunded in full. Tour tickets must be picked-up at the Registration Desk. No tickets will be mailed. Pre-registration is strongly advised. Guide gratuity is not included in the price of the tour. While not mandatory, it is greatly appreciated.
