Artillery Battalion Shield: Per bend azure and
gules, on a bend or between a mullet and a cannon barrel palewise argent,
a flash of the second wreathed on the lower arm by a chaplet of oak of the
fourth. Crest: None. Motto: Wisdom, Power, Victory. Description: The scarlet is for the
Field Artillery. The diagonal bend is the heraldic representation of the
scarf of a military commander: the lightning flash denotes speed and
striking power. The cannon barrel signifies the Armored Artillery, and the
silver star is national identification symbol. The motto is expressive of
the characteristics of the personnel and of their certainty of ultimate
victory. |
